UA 3.0  System Operation Center
A modern dispatch center with current technologies integrated into the workflow and daily processes will certainly increase efficiencies in outage and trouble call response dispatch times as well as in some cases reduce outage duration times. Ultimately, service reliability will be increased and costs associated with prolonged outages will be reduced. Most importantly, safety will be enhanced for both crews in the field as well as the general public. In this case study we will evaluate some of these processes and technologies to determine the value gained from optimizing its assets, leveraging its resources and increasing its operating efficiencies as related to the dispatch center. This evaluation will be done using call metrics from CREC as well as the Cooperative Response Center, reporting from the Outage Management System and the IEEE Standard 1366-2003 for North American utilities.
